Random Thought 020

Cez: Libre mo ako lunch!

Jeric: Ice cream, yema, siomai, tapos chips pa. 100 pesos na nagastos ko sayo. Okay na yun!

C: Grabe!!! 100 pesos lang in two days? Ibig sabihin, 50 pesos lang a day ang halaga ko sayo? :((

J: Wag mong presyuhan sarili mo kasi, mas mahal ka dun. :))

Seriously, this made my day. I felt kind of gloomy, down and depressed these past few days that little things make me really emotional and appreciative.

To Jeric Fortuna, for making my day. And for *letting me post this "heartfelt" conversation of us. Hahaha! =">

Photo Blog Series: UST Neo Centennial Celebration - Pyro Musical

So I was trying to choose photos of the fireworks display but turned out, that Jan wasn't that really of a good photographer when it comes to moving objects. I just leave the judgment to you. :)

These are the unedited pictures from the Neo-Centennial celebration.

I really had a hard time choosing what photos to post because it was either blurred, too bright or totally *ehemunattractiveehem* at all.

Jan Pasion will probably kill me for this, but what the heck, we're close naman. Haha! :p
I must say that this was the highlight of the night.
It came after we the 40K voices.
Everybody was really anticipating for the fireworks.
So when the countdown started, everybody looked up and waited for the sky to light up.
The fireworks came from four destinations. -- Arch of the Centuries, Main Building, Church and Grandstand.
It lasted for 10 minutes and every minute was worth it.
It was so beautiful that it really brought tears to my eyes.
It gave me the opportunity to take a trip down memory lane. All the memories I've made in this exact institution.
When Coldplay's Yellow started playing, you can hear the crowd went "Aww.." and I shed a tear. =")
It really made me nostalgic and very emotional that all I can think of was "Why am I single?"
But of course I was just kidding. :)
Once again, UST set its bar high when it comes to the best Pyro-Musical.
Now I understand why Paskuhan's fireworks display was very very disappointing.

This is one of the many reasons why I'm not ready to leave UST yet.
My friends kept on saying "Last year na ba talaga natin to?"
And honestly, I can't believe that in a span of 2 months, I'll be saying goodbye to my dearest alma mater.

Though, there are times that it really gets tough and tiring, I know that at the back of my head, I still don't want to leave yet.
I'm not ready to leave yet. :(
And like what Sam said, she's afraid that the day will come that we totally do not care at what's with UST because we're too busy and pre-occupied with work.
That will surely make me sad. :(
I couldn't believe that the 10-minute fireworks display brought back a lot of memories and nostalgia to me and my friends. Up to now, everything's so surreal. I still can't absorb the fact that after 14 years of being here, I'll be leaving the university for good.

"Look at the stars, look how they shine for you.." And all of sudden, the sky lighted up with fireworks.

So I guess, I just have to make the most out of it. Right?

Here's the full video length of UST @ 400 closing. Enjoy!

Random Thought 019

Yung feeling na ung mga kamag-anak at kapamilya mo alam na tong blogsite mo. Naiimagine ko na mga sasabihin nila sa akin. Oh noes. >.<

Anyways, hello families and relatives and family friends. HAHAHA! =)))

Photo Blog Series: UST Neo Centennial Celebration - THE PROUD SISTER

Sorry for the bad editting. The original photos were dark. But I guess it didn't really make much of an impact because you wouldn't know where my brother is in those photos. Haha!

Imagine me wearing short shorts during the mass and I ran on the almost front part of the stage just to take a photograph of my brother. And I can tell that eyes were nailed on me for a moment there. I didn't care.

Eventually, I gave up since I could not really get a good view of my brother.
So instead, I just took a picture of him on the white screen near us. =">
My brother has stage fright, when he's nervous, he tend to stutter or speak fast.
I can't help but feel nervous for him. And the time that he was reading the Gospel, I was really really praying that he won't embarrass himself on stage.
Good thing, he was able to survive thousands of people listening to him. =">
I was too busy taking photos that I wasn't able to understand the Gospel.
But in the end, I was really proud of my kuya that I end up applauding him and saying "Kuya ko yan!"

Grabe the feeling watching your brother reading the Gospel while I'm on my short shorts. Very ironic! But it was the most victorious moment of my day. The people around might think that it wasn't that much of a big deal, but for me, it was something I worth to be treasured.

And I won't get tired of saying this over and over again, but I am really one proud sister. :))

Photo Blog Series: UST Neo Centennial Celebration - Main Building

It was 4:30 when the mass started. If you have been reading my tweets and facebook status, I said that my brother will be reading the Gospel for the mass. But that's a different story.
I might go to hell for this but during the mass, I asked Jan to take photos of me with the Main Building.
It's not like I get the chance to have my photos taken with this historical marker everyday so I grab the opportunity to have one. Besides, in less than 2 months, I'll be saying goodbye to my alma mater :(
Light torches were scattered around the field perimeter and I lit my candle with it passing it on the my fellow Thomasians, in that moment, I really really felt, we were one.
Along with a couple of friends, it really became a memorable night for me. Plus Edu, the guy in orange beside me, was also there. FYI, he was my first crush in college and it was really unexpected that I came across him.
Paula and Sam made my night more emotional and at the same time nostalgic because we can't help but reminisce and constantly remind each other that indeed, this is our last year as a student.
The Main Building is one of my favorite place in the campus -- WITH OR WITHOUT THE DECORATIONS. It's the only building in the school that didn't undergo any drastic changes.

To Jan, for being patient in taking good photos of us. Haha! =))

Random Thought 018

Not in my usual self. I feel like sleeping all day, eating all day, stay in bed all day. I don't want to do anything but just bum myself out to death. If that's even possible. No judgments.

Mexican Express Etc.

I'm spontaneous. I don't go by the plans. This is the exact reason why I get into trouble or an argument with my mom or my brothers often.

Last night was one of the many times I've been in my carefree self. I was talking to a friend over FB Chat and told him that I wanted to eat at Maginhawa. If you have been reading my previous posts, I've been there last Saturday and ate at Gayuma Ni Maria and Van Gogh is Bipolar.

At 10 in the evening, I left the house and as usual, I had to talk my way out of it since my mom wouldn't allow me to go out because it was already late. But being an impulsive eater that I am, I didn't surrender without a fight and ended up driving all the way to Sikatuna Village.

Maginhawa Street is truly a haven for foodies like me.

It was a war between Tomato Kick and Mexican Express. But Christian wanted Mexican food that night so the latter won the battle.

I ordered Chimichanga (Php 95) since I wanted to eat light because it was kind of late for dinner.

But it turned out that this chicken breast and corn kernels stuffed delicacy was very heavy for my tummy.
Just a little warning for girls. If you want to maintain your poise I suggest you use your utensils. But being an adventurous eater that I am I ate it with my bare hands. It gets messy once in a while since the stuffing won't stay at its place but that's the fun of eating it with only your hands.
I hate how a bad photographer Lee turned out to be that night! But I'm still posting this anyway. Hehe!

Christian order Super Burrito (Php 129). When I asked him how it was he just said "Not bad for the price." I got curious so I took a bite of his burrito and it somehow gave justice to its price. Ha!!!! *EXCLAMATION POINTS*

We shared over this Chili con Carne (Php 85) which I really liked. I munched down the taco shell on the right because it was really cute! Haha!
If you're craving for Mexican food but on a low budget this is the perfect store for you. It's affordable and tastes good as well.
Beside Mexican Express is Etcetera Milk Tea. I'm not really a fan of milk tea. But because it became so mainstream with the rise of Serenitea, Cha Dao, Moon Leaf and the others, I decided to be a non-conformist and tried Etcetera.
I ordered their Chocolate Milk Tea (Php 75) and added pearls (Php 10) in it. Size-wise, it was really sulit. But sadly, it failed my taste buds test. Or maybe, I'm just bias since I'm not really a milk tea drinker.

I'm eyeing for Tomato Kick, Friulli and Kiss the Cook for my next trip to Maginhawa Village. Stay tuned! Haha! :)
