#DearHair

Few weeks back, I erased my Formspring account just because I got fed up with all the bashing and hater questions I've been receiving. Never did I know that all the questions will be directed to my friend, Kaye's Formspring. I guess some people find pleasure in making non-sense rumors about other people. If you're one of them, lucky you, I'm feeling extra nice today, so HI STRANGER. <3

Just when I woke up from my afternoon siesta I saw Kaye's tweet about her, answering a question and as usual, it had my name on it. But it was far from the questions I usually receive from haters and stalkers. This one, made my day. SERIOUSLY. :))

Cool diba? (Just don't mind the MORE PRETTIER phrase! Haha!) Unlike other girls who find pleasure in keeping their hair as presentable as possible, I on the other hand, wants to keep it like..

THIS. <3

My hair is a lot messier than that. Maayos pa yan sa lagay na yan. On normal days, I don't use comb or brush. And if you get really really lucky, you might spot me on my "NO-WASH-HAIR-DAY" look. Well, you can't really tell the difference anyway. HAHAHA!

Sooo. To my "concerned schoolmate" you gave me an inspiration to blog about my hair! Aaaand, I'm sorry, but I'm keeping this BEDROOM HAIR. :))

PS. *Prettier or more beautiful will do. :)))

No Other Woman

I cannot contain my emotions right now. It's just that I applaud all the filmakers of No Other Woman. Grabeee! The script, the acting, EVERYTHING WAS INTENSE! I will TRY to make a review of this film if sinipag ako. But for now, guys, please, I RECOMMEND YOU TO WATCH NO OTHER WOMAN! It's a tear jerker! And honestly, my heart is with Anne Curtis in this movie. <3

INFINITY and BEYOND. :))

Meet my bestfriend and her boyfriend 5 years ago...

I can still remember the day TJ proposed to Fae during our 3rd year days. It was the proposal of the year, I must say! He really put effort in coming up with a very romantic and unique way of propsing her love to Fae.

This picture says only a part of what TJ did. He even played the guitar and sang "Panalangin" when Fae entered the room. Ahhh. Memories. :))

Fae and TJ has contradicting personalities. Between the two of them, TJ is the patient one, the understanding and the passive type. While, Fae (and even though your my bestest friend!) is well, just the opposite. :))
I always believed that HS relationships aren't meant to last when College comes, but look at them now! :))

Staying strong after five years. No breakups. :)

I burst into tears seeing them still happy and in love after all these years. I'm really happy seeing them grow up from our Junior year and now that we're graduating from College!

With confidence and pride, I can say that they are venturing the road to forever.
Witnessing their love for five years made me believe that true love indeed can wait. :))
They are each others first and I'm sure as hell they will be each others last.

I want a love like this. Everlasting. They made me believe in true love. In fate. In hope. In FOREVER.

To the both of you, I want you to know that you inspire me. Your love can do wonders. Your relationship is a to-die for kind of type. You made me believe that true love exists. Thank you. Thank you Fae and TJ. And I want you to know that I love you both. Stay strong! Stay in love!

And indEed. It really is a BIG EVENT. HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY! <3

Zark Attack

About a month ago, I saw on the Internet that Zark's will go on promo for the fifth time this year. For the past months, I failed to make a reservation because slots are always full.

I've tried their Jawbreaker once during my first visit when I tried to beat the 5-minute challenge, which I failed to do BTW. :) And now, I am back for the second round with 15 of my blockmates.

Lately, we've been doing a lot of food trips unlike our Junior year when all we wanted to do was to swim in a pool of liquor. Well, it didn't change the way it was before but we are "TRYING" to moderate our drinking habits. Tumatanda na kasi kami. :)

Slashing 100 pesos from it's original price. The Jawbreaker still remained the same -- HUGE AS FUCK.

It's a triple cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes, 2 slices of spam, bacon and overflowing cheese sauce on top with total weight of 1.5 lbs and 5 inches in height. Go figure how this monster will fit in your mouth!

I was all YEHEY when I took the first bite. But towards the end of the meal I was getting a little dizzy with all the calories and not to mention the grease it has. I tried hard to finish everything up but eventually I gave up. And so were my girl classmates. We all failed to finish this monster burger so some of us ended up taking out the burger.Though I have to say kudos to my guy blockmates. They managed to eat everything up!

The next time I come back, I'll try something new. I promise! :))

Pizza anyone?

I am no pizza enthusiast. But I know how to distinguish a good pizza from a not so good one. And Sandy's pizza, I must say is the latter part. Forgive me for this but I don't mean any harm. It's just that a one-hour drive from Manila to J.P Rizal is not at all worth it! It was really disappointing to think that my sister-in-law chose this particular place to celebrate her birthday. Nothing was really special about their pizza. Except that it was rather tasteless and a little bit pricey.

The 14" pizza composed of white cheese, mozarella and garlic and all-meat. Among the three, I like the white pizza the most. But really, it's nothing compared to Greenwhich's.
These are the happy fries. I must say, this became my favorite appetizer of the day. Though tasteless, the cuteness factor of the fries covered up for its taste. :))

The buffalo wings which tastes a little sour. I even have to ask my kuya if buffalo wings are supposed to taste like this. Turns out that they did something different to the way they marinated it.

The Tuna Marinara which perfectly suits my taste because it was spicy. And it's a known fact that I like my food sweet or spicy.
BTW, Gabby Concepcion's sister (the one in the middle) is the owner of this pizza parlor.

It was not only the food that got me disappointed but how they presented it. They only had paper plates and a microwavable tupperware for their pasta. To think that it was supposed to be a high-end pizza parlor, it really got me annoyed. I was kind of expecting more from it. But newsflash -- IT FAILED ME.

Looking at the bright side. At least we were able to release our disappointment over a bottle of tequilla and Emperador light with chicken ass and tokwa't dila from Vienna. :))

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ATE AIZZA!

We love Kabigting's!

I don't like planning. Not that I don't do it at all but I SUCK AT IT. So when Erika R. texted me and asked to eat at Kabigting's I immediately said yes. Together with eleven of my classmates, we all trailed the road to Kabigting's. Ed was nice enough to sponsor the 13 Halo-halo because it was his birthday. And as a reward, my sister-in-law gave him 2pcs of lumpiang ubod. :))

I leave the food judgment to my blockmates since I don't wanna be bias about it.

I wasn't really a Dinuguan eater before but when I started working at Kabigting's last summer, it became my newest favorite. So everytime I visit there, the cooks always hide the Dinuguan from me. :))
Our very own beef tapa has gone through a lot of changes since we first opened. And I must say, this is the way I wanted my tapa to be served -- SHREDDED.
I am not really a fan of Lumpiang Ubod since I despise vegetables.  BUT I TELL YOU, THE LUMPIA SAUCE IS A TO-DIE FOR! Plus, we make our own lumpia wrapper. :)
Honestly, among all the food we serve in the store, Palabok is the only food I know how to prepare. :))
And of course. The classic HALO-HALO. Dear readers, this is an open invitation. I would like all of you to try this. Pastillas, mashed beans and corn kernels are the main ingredients of our Halo-halo (and milk of course!)

Aside from these, Longsilog, Arrozcaldo and Tokwa't Baboy are also available here. :)

This is one of the changes that surprised me when i got there. The cintra board was turned into a freedom wall wherein you can express what you think about Kabigting's. So far, no negative feedbacks are posted here naman. So thank youu! :))

But what I recommend most is that you dine-in here with the people close to your heart. Because nothing beats the company of the ones you love when you share this cooling experience. :)

Thanks guys for the support! Til next time! :))

Smart Net Phone Launch @ Republiq

September 10, 2011. Me and my blockmates decided to attend the launch of #smartnetphone at Republiq. Courtesy of course of the very lovely boys of Boys Night Out. They were the ones who gave us the invites during their talk last Sept. 4. I actually didn't really have plans of going out that night because of money constraint. But luckily, I did. :))

I underestimated Smart's Events and Management Team. They threw one kick-ass party that all of the college studs enjoyed. Free flowing drinks with pica-pica on the side sure made my 200 pesos down the piggy bank. :))

They gave away around 100 phones, six of which was just thrown at the audience. Too bad we were far from the stage we were not able to get any. But nonetheless, I was able to steal a shirt. :))

It was a night to remember. Not only because it was the block's first time to go clubbing but also because it was a night of drunken euphoria caught on video. :))

I want to do this again! More classmates, more passing out, more dancing, more grinding and more booze to come. :))

PAMAPANGA SURVIVORS

As a partial requirement for our Marriage and Family class, we have to do some sort of Outreach program in order to complete the course. This has been delayed week after week after week. And I'm just so glad that finally it pushed through last Sunday.

A 30min walk across the river and over the mountains was what it took us just to mingle with the kids in a sitio in Mabalacat, Pampanga. Though tiring, the smile on the kids' faces was what really mattered.
We tried our best to entertain the kids after the UNICEF did a lecture about proper hygiene. I must admit, I wasn't at all satisfied with what we did. Just because we are not prepared for this. But it was indeed a life changing experience.

I hope that the kids and the adults as well, appreciated what we did for them. This might sound like a cliche but really. I feel so lucky having the this kind of life right now.

Thanks 4M2! This might not be the normal us but I'm glad that we were able to release the Good Samaritan in us.
