I don't care how much of a loser I am when I say this but I've never been to Greenbelt. I only realized that when a friend started comparing ATC to Greenbelt. I was dumbfounded. So as a promise to myself, I shall venture the walls of Greenbelt before I graduate College.
Thanks to these people for making it possible. :)
It was nothing special, actually. I just wanted to set foot in Greenbelt just to have an idea of what they have inside. And yes, it's a bigger version of ATC. Of course, high end brands are present here plus classy resto-bars are what I see.
I really had a hard time choosing where to eat because my budget for food is limited to only Php 500. The first choices were: Fely J's, John and Yoko, Damaso and Seafood Island. But we ended up eating at Krazy Garlik.
Judging from its exteriors, you definitely know that the price is far from the usual restaurants I've been hitting on. But what the heck. It's my first time in Greenbelt so why not give this a try?
Spaghetti Bolognese (Php 350)
Justin was nice enough to let me have a taste of his order. I must say that it turned out to be such a disappointment because 1) It did not give any justice to the price. Php 350 is not easy to spend on a pasta that is not as good as Italliani's. 2) There was nothing really special about it.
Spaghetti Vongole (Php 325)
Sam and I have the same orders. It's pasta in Olive Oil, tomatoes and clams. The serving was big enough to share. We really felt bad for having two separate orders of the same pasta. One plate could be enough for the both of us. And it will be financially ideal too. :) It was good. But it was not the best-ever tasting pasta I've tried. I'd still choose Mcdonald's spaghetti over this (Oh God! I miss Mcdonalds!)
And here comes our favorite part. Thank you God for friends who love desserts as much as I do. :)
I usally order Mango Bravo but because I splurged a big amount of money on my dinner, I decided to go for the classic Oreo Cheescake (Php 75). And of course, it turned out to be a delight. =">
Black Velvet Cake (Php 85) was Justin's order. But I still like mine better. Hahaha! :))
And for Sam's order, she went for the Chocolate Almond Cake (Php 95) I was kind of hesitant to try this at first since it's sprinkled with nuts. (I'm allergic to nuts!) But because I can't resist the look of this baby, I decided to took a slice. It was heavenly. Sansrival cake topped with nuts and mocha icing was really a paradise for my taste buds. It gained my approval. :)
Conti's is always the place to be when it comes to dessert. And I'm sure my friends agree with me. :)
And as for Greenbelt, I will definitely come back again. Months from now, you will be my newest sanctuary. I can't wait. Haha! =))
To Sam and Justin, for baby sitting me. Sorry for the all the hassle I caused you. I love you guys to bits. I had fun! Let's do this again please! :)
