Photo Blog Series: Camiguin Day 2

I said good morning to a very cold Camiguin the next day. Good thing the heavy rain stopped and I was able to see the sun fighting its way through the clouds. :)

A good view of the dead volcano behind us.
Camiguin is the smallest island in the province of North Mindanao.
Here you can see the Walkway to the Old Volcano which we didn't dare climb anymore. We got too tamad and intimidated with the number of steps we have to battle on our way up.
Behind us is the Sunken Cemetery. This is the exact landmark featured in the movie Ouija. (The tour guide confirmed this one! So I'm pretty sure it's the same landmark!) Sadly, because of Ondoy, the original Sunken Cemetery was destroyed so the natives living near reconstructed it.
Sorry for my mom's weird smile. Haha!
This is the chapel inside the remains of the Catamaran church ruins.
Behind us is the bell tower.

This used to be the seminary where the priests resided.
The church got destroyed during the volcanic eruption in 1867 leaving these remnants of coral-built walls.
Welcome to Macao Cold Spring!
My mom and I saw a boy with a tupperware selling kiping. And being a sucker for sweets, I consumed three of these costing 5 pesos each.
The name of the place gave justice to the ice cold water of the spring. It really is freaking cold!
HAHA! I LIKE THIS PICTURE OF ME AND MY BROTHER! :D
Our next stop was Soda Swimming Pool. Wondering why it was named such? It's because the water has a distinct taste! I was doubtful at first but it really has a sweet taste. Haha!
The so-called Tres Marias hills (or mountains? Not really sure!)
And because the weather got better towards that afternoon, we visited Mantigue Island.
It's just an 8minute ride from the shore.
Me attempting a tumbling shot. Haha!

I decided to be a little different and did a hand stand. :)

The sand was not as white as I expected it to be but I think that is because of the rain yesterday. But the island was so peaceful that's really perfect for "searching deep within you".
This is my favorite part of Camiguin!
I felt awe and wonder upon seeing it and I was literally jumping up and done because of its beauty!
The Katibawasan falls is such a beauty that I instantly fell in love with it!
Our last stop for the day was at Ardent Hot Spring. For some reasons, we weren't able to take a photo of the site but my brother managed to take a picture of this monkey guarding the entrance
Like I said, the island is the smallest province giving us only a day to wander around the whole perimeter. Amazing, right? :)

Before going back to our hotel, we grabbed the opportunity of having our photo taken at these beautiful Christmas decorations around the island.

Belated Merry Christmas! :))
