Though puyat, tired and hangover-ed from the Noche Buena. Nothing can stop me from watching The Sound of Music Play at Resorts World. It served as a gift from my Kuya and I will not let this chance slip by my hands. :))

Thanks to Ensogo for selling SOM tickets at a much cheaper price. :)

And since, it was a first come first served basis, me and my mom had to leave early in order to choose good seats. As early as 4pm, we were there already, unfortunately we got the last row seats but at least it was in the center.

The show was scheduled at 8pm, good thing, I brought Jeric's laptop with me so I still have time to pass my Strama paper which is due that day also.

In order to kill the four-hour waiting time, we decided to dine in at Shakey's and do my stuff there.

I didn't know Shakey's belgian fries tastes this good. :) But that wasn't all that I ordered. I just want to share my insights about the fries. Hehe.

At 7pm, we left the place and headed to the Newport Theatre.

Of course, we were both excited to watch the play. Honestly, it was my first time to watch a musical play unlike my mom who is often invited by her rich friends to watch plays like this.

The Sound of Music is about a nun-wannabe named Maria who has become problem in the sanctuary. The mother superior is doubtful about Maria's vocation so she sent her out on a vacation and there she was assigned to be a governess of the Von Trapp family headed by Capt. Von Trap. If I'm not mistaken it was the time when Germany wanted to colonized Austria. The plot was really good and the acting was very realistic. The cuteness factor of the kids added impact to the play as well.

Too bad, cameras weren't allowed to be used during the play. :(

When Maria and Capt. Von Trapp kissed each other all the adults were like "Aww" and I swear I heard the little ones screamed "Eww". Sure. You can be disgusted all you want now, but wait till you grow up. Haha!!

It really has a different impact on the kids and the adults but I'm pretty sure that we all appreciated the greatness of the play. It is something that you guys should watch. :))
