First of all, my apologies for this post will be bombarded with a lot of visuals than words. My brain juices are too lethargic to function right now. It got fed up cramming for my StraMa paper.
Last September, a couple of my friends decided to save up for this pricey buffet restaurant along Seaside. My love for food and buffet restaurants are not a secret anymore. So I really had to save up for this.
The heavy utensils. I swear that was my first impression upon using those! It's really heavy!
The table number. :)
This was the first thing I noticed inside this restaurant. It looks classy and elegant making me feel like an elite. NOT.
I wanted to try everything on the buffet table. But that is clearly impossible since I don't have the capacity to do so. So what I did was, I only ate small of amounts of the different variety of the food available at the table so I can be able to try almost all of it.
FIRST STOP: SEAFOODS AND IHAWAN
If you're a close friend, you can attest that I hate eating fish. Unless it's boneless so I never really dared to have those creatures cooked. But instead I went for the Tanigue and the blue marlin.
Their inihaw is one of my least favorite. It lacks in taste. In my opinion, the chefs should have done a good marinating with their meat to add taste. But the sauces are good.
SECOND STOP: STEAK
If you want your 1,000 ++ bucks to be worth it make sure you are patient enough to fall in line for this baby right here. That area right there, my friend, is where the steaks are being grilled. Rib eye, tenderloin, etc. etc. etc! Plus you get to have 5 different sauces. Justin personally picked the WINE GRAVY and TRUFFLES.
THIRD STOP: ZE DESSERT BAR
If there's one thing I'll never let go, that is the LOVE FOR DESSERTS. Vikings has a huge variety of it from cakes, brownies, cookies, chocolate fondue, fruits and a whole lot more!
FOURTH STOP: APPETIZERS
The appetizer section has a wide array of bread, biscuits, cheese, spreads and everything new to my senses. The bad news is, I wasn't able to try everything on it since it might take up a lot of space in my tummy.
FIFTH STOP: DRINKS
Unlimited drinks is also inclusive when you dine-in here. Coffee, juices, water, tea and yes, you're reading it right. BEER. But if I were you I wouldn't dare chugging down that beer because it's not really worth your 1000 pesos.
Told you they have a wide selection of appetizers such as their coleslaw, mashed potato, nachos, dips and everything else!
SIXTH STOP: JAPANESE FOOD
The Japanese section of the buffet is the one you wouldn't want to miss. It has variety of colors that is attractive to look but not sure you wanted to eat. But I tell you, it's really good for eating! Yumyum!
I failed to take photos of everything but they also serve Chinese, Italian and American. And I'm sorry if the construction of this blog is poorly made. I got tamad sequencing the photos. So forgive me for this one.
Tip: If you want this to be worth your 1K, I suggest that you go for the ones that are expensive in the market such as their steaks, crabs, oysters (THUMBS UP!), shrimps and the like. If you're gonna eat rice, pasta or anything with carbs, make sure it will be in small amounts. Plus stay away from the DRINKS and anything with DAIRY. Follow these tips and you'll be able to keep up with the buffet.
I'd definitely come back here! Still a lot I failed to eat!
And at the end of the day, it all boils down to who you shared the experience with. :))
I told you! You'll be seeing a lot of faces than words. HAHAHA!
